We've been pretty pre-occupied here at our house lately. Both Brian and Lily have been quite sick. But they're finally feeling a little more like themselves. Here's what Lily was up to before she got sick:

Reno Balloon Race 2009
It all began when the alarm went off at 3:15 am. Lily and I went with our friends up to Reno for the Hot Air Balloon Races. Boy was it fun! The show started with the Dawn Patrol, 4 balloons that are all lit up and are synchronized to music. Then, when the sun came up, planes flew overhead. It was pretty exciting! Here are the shots from the day:

Labor Day 2009
For Labor Day, we went with some friends to Virginia City to watch the parade.

Night Out on the Town
For our anniversary we went out to eat. We've lived here for over a year and we've been told that all the casinos have great restaurants, so we decided to give one a try. We went to the Fandango and enjoyed their delicious buffet. Brian, (me too) was in heaven! They had everything you could think of: seafood, American, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, EVERYTHING! And it wasn't just simple, ordinary stuff. It was the works!
Our Personal Bodyguards
During our trip to Utah, (we were taking my baby brother to BYU) we had our personal 'bodyguards' come with us. We noticed one evening, at our hotel, that there were a bunch of motorcycles and Sheriff vehicles. But we didn't realize, until the next morning, that they were from Carson City. We asked a couple of the Deputies why they were there, and told them we were from Dayton. They were there for some motorcycle competition. It was pretty fun to have our own personal 'bodyguards' with us.

4 Years of Wedded Bliss
For me, it all really began in August of 2004, when I met Brian for the very first time. I walked into the Fresno State Institute and saw him sitting there. From that exact moment I knew he was the one for me! It took Brian a little more time to realize we were for each other, (like 6 months, an eternity to me). Our very first date was a to a farm show in Central California. I think he knew an event like that, he would steal my heart forever.
We dated for the next 3 months then came the proposal, on Mother's Day. Beautiful picnic up in the mountains. Absolutely gorgeous!

Four months of engagement and were were sealed for time and Eternity in the
Fresno, California Temple on September 3, 2005.
Spent the next week at the San Diego Zoo, Disneyland, and traveling up the California coastline. Then 3 years later 2 became 3 on October 25, 2008.
So in the four years of our marriage we've experienced:
losing our home to a fire
Moving 6 times, in 4 states
Travelling to more than 40 states in the country
Witnessing the miraculous, difficult, beautiful experience of our baby girl coming to our lives !
We couldn't be happier! It's been a wonderful 4 years!

One Special Lady, One Lucky Guy
September 3rd is a great day. In 2005 this lucky guy married a very special lady. I simply must reward her with some public attention. While I am sure she is going to write something as well, I know it will be better than this entry (she will include a picture or two).
But I wanted to a wonderful anniversary, publicly, as I cannot be home for the day of (traveling of course).
I love the little picture thing in our home with the word "FAMILY", "all because two people fell in love." And it is true, because I love her. And our little girl too.
