NASA Space Center

My favorite place by far!!
I've always been fascinated by the space program!!
We got to have a little taste of what it's like.

All the space suits displayed are actual suits used by astronauts throughout the past 40+ years.

The map shows where the Space Center in currently located. It was fun to watch people in action.
They told us that if our flag was flying, at the command center,
it meant that there's an American astronaut on the Space Station.
We've always had an astronaut up there since 2000.
We no longer launch astronauts here in America. They launch from Russia.
All astronauts speak a minimum of 3 languages: English, Russian, and a European language.
Also, many  of those who work at the Command Center speak 3 languages.

 A real rocket!
One of the rocket exhausts. There are a total of 5. They each have a diameter of approx. 25 ft.

Houston Zoo

Lily LOVES the zoo! ANY zoo! So, we had to visit the Houston Zoo.

It was totally worth it!

 Lily's favorite, the elephants

Lily also really enjoys the big cats. Here we're with the Jaguar

Houston Children's Museum

Lily and I recently had the opportunity to go on a trip and visit my dear friend Jessica. She and her husband moved to Houston, TX. I also have a good friend, Kate, from high school who lives there as well.
So we wanted to explore their new city!

We went to the Houston Children's Museum  and Lily was in Heaven!
