Ear Tubes for Lily

Our day started to the sound of an alarm at 5am, we had to be at the hospital by 6:15.

Lily fell back asleep on our way there.

We got arm bands to prove that Lily was ours.

Chilling in the waiting room with Dad.

Putting on her gown. It was SOOOOO cute on her! She was swimming in it and she liked playing with it too.

Waiting in the Pre-Op room.

Tired Lily.

The nurse came in and gave her little yellow hospital socks. She looked so stinkin' cute!

The two of us ready to go back to the operating room. I got to back with her until she fell asleep with the laughing gas. (by the way, she LOVES to play with her tongue and it's almost always hangin' out!)

She did such a great job! The surgeon came back to talk with us, after the surgery, only 20 minutes after I left her side in the operating room. She woke up within 10 minutes after that. We were so shocked! We knew it was a quick and super easy procedure but we didn't know we were going to be walking out the doors 30 minutes after her surgery began.
I think this is going to be real good for her! We sure hope it's going to be real good for her!
Now maybe we'll be able to sleep through the night!

Playing at the Park

Once a week a group of mothers and their kids meet up at a park in town. This was Lily's first time to ride in a swing. She LOVED it! I think we'll go quite often!

Lily swinging with Seth. They're almost exactly 2 months apart. They often talk to each other from across the room. He's such a cutie!

Ode to Michael Jackson

This post is for the remembrance of Michael Jackson. I grew listening to his music. We watched all the music videos. Danced in our living room because of him. I'm SOOOOO sad to see him go. I know he has lead a weird life but was a music GENIUS!!!!

Father's Day

This is for my special Brian. He is such a great husband and father. I'm glad that we, Lily and I, could celebrate this special day for a special guy. He's such a GREAT dad! He's always willing to get up in the night, change a dirty diaper, and even let ME run out for a couple of hours.

Our little Lily adores her daddy. There have been many times when he's on the road and Lily is upset and it's hard for me to settle her down. I'll give him a call and he'll talk to her and she settles right down. She puts on a HUGE smile when he walks in the room.
They are so cute together.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY BRIAN!!!

His new blue tie went well with her new blue dress.

We just gave him his father's day gifts: a tie, a movie, and a subscription the newspaper.
All at his request.

The Lion King

For Christmas, my parents gave us girls an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G gift! We got to see The Lion King. It was playing on Broadway in Sacramento. Here are some pictures of the GREAT evening!!

Before we left.
(Me, Mom, Anna)

At the restuarant we ate at before the show, Ernesto's.
Just about the best Mexican food I've ever had!

Me and Mom at the stairs inside the theater. It's a pretty fun place!

We were nervous about the parking situation. We weren't sure if we would be able to parallel park the truck, because of it's size. We didn't really want to park in a garage because it would cost an arm and leg. But we happened to come a great parking spot. It was DIRECTLY across the street from the theather! Mom is an excellent parallel parker!!

The gigantic, yet very beautiful, orange tree in the Capital Park.

Waiting for the show to begin.

(I wish I could have taken pictures of the costumes! They were specatcular!!!)

I've NEVER seen such creative, colorful, amazing costumes as I did at the show. The actors were very talented. We had AWESOME seats. The music was to much fun I've found myself singing one of the songs in my head everyday since then.

Thanks SOOOOOOOO much Mom and Dad!!!

Deanne's Garden of Eden

Here are some pictures of my mother-in-law's backyard. She's know for her excellent green thumb! The sunflowers are from my wedding bouquet that she just tossed out in her backyard. They come up every year. This year they have grown to over 10 feet in height.
It was pretty fun to see them!

Summer Vacation Pics of Lily

We spent a week in California, visiting our parents. We had a BLAST! Here are some fun pictures of little Lily. Who, might I add, isn't so little anymore. She's growing up way too fast!

In front of Grandma Deanne's house, in Madera, CA.

Eating a baked potato at Grandma Gail's, in Galt, CA.

She took such HUGE bites and was able to chew and swallow very well!
We didn't have to make her spit any of it out!

Righteous Example

I was preparing my YW lesson, about being Righteous Examples to those around us, and I came across this quote. I decided to make a little handout for each of the girls. I really like the quote!

"Live so that those who know you,

but don't know Him, will want to know

Him because they know you."

The Many Faces of Lily

I just love this little girl. She is always putting such big smiles on my face. Here are some fun pictures that I just had to share. If you look REALLY close you can see her 2 little teeth that are starting to come up on the bottom.
